I saw a great dumpling recipe on yahoo food. I never cook dumpling before. I always eat it at Chinese Dim Sum restaurant. I will try to copy the recipe in my blog and if I have time I would try to cook dumpling too.

Ingredients

2 pounds bok choy
1/2 pound ground pork
1 egg
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 teaspoons Asian fish sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 (12 ounce) package round dumpling wrappers
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
2 tablespoons thinly sliced scallion greens

Cooking direction :

1. Fill a large saucepan with cold water, and bring to a boil. Add the heads of bok choy, and gently boil until tender, about 2 to 3 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove bok choy from saucepan, and plunge into a bowl of ice water. Drain, discarding the liquid, and finely chop. Place bok choy in a clean kitchen towel or a double thickness of cheesecloth, and squeeze out all of the water. Transfer to a bowl, and set aside.

2. In a medium bowl, combine pork, egg, cornstarch, oil, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, ginger, fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Add chopped bok choy, and mix well.

3. Place a dumpling wrapper in one hand, and spoon about 1 tablespoon of meat mixture into the middle of the wrapper. Dampen fingertips, and moisten entire edge of the wrapper. Fold dumpling in half to enclose filling, and pinch the two edges together tightly, forming a semicircle. Repeat this process until all the filling is used up.

4. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add as many dumplings as will fit without crowding. Gently stir them up from the bottom to prevent sticking, cover, and bring back to a boil, about 1 minute. Uncover, add 1/4 cup cold water, replace cover, and bring water back to a boil. Boil for about 2 more minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and keep warm. Continue until all have been cooked.

5. Make the dipping sauce by combining remaining 1/2 cup soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and scallion. Mix well, transfer to small serving dishes, and serve with dumplings.

Stew

Do you like stew food ? I like it and it is our traditional menu from my grand mother to my mother ha..ha..ha.. always stew. Stew is good if we can get the right item and on a right time too.

Just like stew fish...I like it...just cut a little shallots,salt and sesame oil in the fish and put it to stew in a low heat about 7 to 10 minutes , it would be great to eat. If you stew too long time, the taste is not great anymore.

Roast Turkey

It seems that a lot of people like roast turkey...actually I never cook turkey but I am very interested to see the recipe and saw on the TV how they made it. I think it must a good taste and if I cook the turkey I think my family would spend a week to finish it.ha..ha..ha.. it is so big. Usually we buy chicken in 1 kg only , and this turkey oh..it is very perfect for a whole big family or party. But I paste this recipe from Yahoo food to my blog so I can see it and so are every body whom see my blog too.

ROAST TURKEY

Makes 12 to 14 servings

One 14-to 16-pound turkey, preferably free-range

8 sprigs of fresh thyme

8 sprigs of fresh sage

1 bay leaf, crumbled

2 medium onions, coarsely chopped

2 medium carrots, coarsely chopped

2 celery ribs, coarsely chopped

1 large leek, white part only, coarsely chopped

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil

Position a rack in the lower third of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F.
Rinse the turkey under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Slip your fingers under the turkey skin, and loosen it at the breast area. Slip 6 sprigs each of thyme and sage under the skin.
Coarsely chop the remaining 2 sprigs each of thyme and sage, and toss with the bay leaf, onions, carrots, celery, and leek in a medium bowl. Season the body cavity with salt and pepper to taste, then loosely stuff with some of the vegetable mixture; cover and refrigerate the remaining vegetables. Place the turkey on a rack in a large roasting pan. Rub all over with the oil, then season the skin with salt and pepper. Cover the breast area only (not the wings or legs) with aluminum foil.
Roast the turkey for 1 hour. Reduce the heat to 325 degrees F and roast for 1 hour more. Remove the foil from the breast, and scatter the remaining vegetables in the pan. Roast until a meat thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the thigh, without touching the bone, reads 180 degrees F. Transfer the turkey to a serving platter and let stand for 20 minutes before carving.

Yes..today is 25 Th December and all the people are celebrating Christmas. I think every body must preparing a great dinner..maybe preparing the turkey ha..ha.. So this asem make the sayur asem taste sour..because of the sour , when they made it they put sugar in the soup to make the taste like a little sweet, sour,spicy. You can try it at Indonesia restaurant...

I Wish

As a women I like always like to view the news on fashion and lifestyle. Than I start to pick a few item and model from "Furniture from Home". For make a contemporer style, I chose brown and a little dark color. I chose Modern brown leather sofa for the living room, Davinci bookcase woodwall unit with Roller ladder for the office. After I finish and show my design, I can see how happy she is and she tread me a dinner for that, ha...ha...ha...

Beauty at 30's

I heard from a lot of magazines says if we are at 30's age , our face undergoes a radical change. The facial skin sags a wee bit, there is also a sign of double chin, the under eye area may look a bit puffy and the first appearance of crow's feet takes place. The neck and hands start showing signs of age.
It is what they said but not all people like that but may be some of them would like this. Blogging is a nice thing and earn money for it is great for me. For me it is very nice talking about activities that I have done, review a new product. It is so great if we blog our opinion on others product or website.

A night call

I have receive a phone from my friend one hour ago, actually it was surprised me because I seldom got a phone at 10 o'clock night. Usually it is an important thing, and yeah...it was. She called me because her mother have sick and ask information to me.

Her mother's ankle was sick and can not walk, she remembered that my mother had this situation a few years ago and asked me which doctor is suitable for this situation.

Yeah..having friends and share a lot of information is a good things for us and can help us to take the decision

A lot of people have credit cards now,so am I. But sometimes there can be a lot of problem caused by credit card. I saw some of my friends had this problem. They saw a lot of things at the shopping centre and for women ,sometimes we feel like the things very much. And the solutions is bought it with credit cards .Hoping that we pay it at the next month. But they don't know how much the amount they have spend. They still think ...easy..easy..next month ,not now. I know for some people it is not easy for them to use the credit card with wisely.
Looking for the bad experience they had I made a important decision on my mind, we must use it with wise and clearly. I saw a credit cards with cash back is good too for us. We can save a lot of money with cash back.

Nice Thing

Blogging is a nice thing for me.I like it very much. Sometimes I think it is like my daily diary,but it is open to all people.And I feel proud too if some one make a comments on my blog. It is great that others read our blog and I also like to read others blogs too.

Weekend is a perfect time to maintain our house, I like to checked my furniture, sofa or others home furniture to looked if they need to repair and clean. And there are a lot of people come to knock the door and asked them if it is the right address. I remembered two days ago a man knock my door and asked me others address, it is really a serious problem for them.

Home Work

I think tonight I would early go to bed.I was tired because this evening I have done a lot of laundry,washing the rest room and done all others home work. Once in a week I do this routine job,usually I do this at Sunday,but because this Sunday I have a plan to go out shopping with my friends so I change the date for today.

Floating Water

Getting Old

I found my old picture today. It is very funny to see it. I saw my face from kids until now. There are a lot of changes that I have been. We don't realize this change if didn't saw our picture.Yes, we are getting old,it is very sure. Sad to think but it is rel reality for us. And we must accept it.
For me nothing to do and I only can keep our healthy and keep away stress from our mind.Because it is believe can make me more older than our real age.

Mortgage

This evening seems like to have a rain,because I saw the sky were going dark and I make a cup of herbal tea to enjoyed it.I like to enjoy hot tea and sitting in front of my computer.I love it very much and happy to stay in my little beauty house.

Hungry

Tonight I have a lot jobs to do. Submitting my sister tax form and doing my paid blogging.So now I feel very hungry.I looked at my watch...it is 12.30 midnight...so if I go out to eat I think it is too night for me.

So I cooked instant noodles, it is become my perfect choice for this moment. And I still have a beef ball to add on my noodles soup.It is good too.

Vacation

Garage Lighting

Today I visit to my friend house, actually she invited me to her house two weeks ago,but I am too busy until today I have a little time and quickly go there.
For my fist time enter her house , she has a beautiful house and when I went to her garage I saw a wonderful garage lighting at there. I am very interested with the light over there , because if the garage don't have enough light it would be very difficult for us to see and find our things.
I think may be I will have add a 4ft 2 light Cloud Fluorescent Lighting at my garage too because this garage lighting has a one piece frame lens diffuser which gives soft smooth appearance and plenty of light for my garage.

Choose To Age

I saw an interesting topic today at Yahoo health news...the title is "How we choose to age"

At my mind have a question too, can I choose to age ? ha..ha..I think age is a natural things and we can't choose it.

But yes we can make a little prevent for getting old looking, maybe by take vitamins or supplement food and operation face lift.But I think I will choose the natural things and take vitamins to eat,it is more natural for me.

Yesterday I went to a new shopping centre at my place, actually it is not very new, but I have not been there before.Yeah...now Jakarta have build a lot of new shopping centre. So not all shopping centre we have been go.

This place called Senayan City, it is a nice place I think with a large of stores and I saw the supermarket offer a lot of Japan and others country.

Diamond Plate Cabinet

It has become my dream to have a beautiful house with my things all are place in a good place. I always saw in home design magazine to get a sample and do it in my house. I think most of all woman seems like me too.

Today I saw a diamond plate cabinets ,and truly it is very caught my interest. You know why ? It is very good design ,strong enough, and can be move it anywhere we like because it is pegboards pre-installed. I see this diamond plate material is very easy to clean and will never rust, rot, or damage from being wet... I like it this point very much.

So I imagine my home will be a nice home with my things all keep good in a great place and beautiful to see. It is very great.
